Monitoring of the health status of the animals according to FELASA specifications.
Ensuring compliance with all hygiene concepts, standards and guidelines relevant to animal welfare
Management of the veterinary medicine cabinet
Collaboration on applications to authorities, study planning and documentation, experimental animal science topics and the implementation of the latest animal welfare requirements.
Organization of training and further education, including legal instruction (such as TierSchG, TierSchVersV) of animal care personnel and scientists.

Your profile
Licensed veterinarian, preferably veterinarian of laboratory animal science
In-depth veterinary knowledge with rodents, pigs, sheep and goats, and GMOs.
Practical experience in anesthesia and surgery desirable
Extensive legal knowledge in the areas of animal welfare, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals and genetic engineering
Willingness for further training and on-call duty
Determined, exact and independent work
High sense of responsibility, initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team
Business fluent in German and English
